NYCO is the world’s foremost producer and supplier of wollastonite(calcium metasilicate). This white, non-metallic, naturally occurring mineral is used as an reinforcement and additive in a variety of plastic composites for improved dimensional stability, lower CLTE, mar and scratch resistance, improved heat distortion temperature, and improved impact resistance. A multitude of products are produced with median micron diameters ranging from 3-40 microns and aspect ratios (L/D) of 3:1 to 15:1. Specialized surface modifications are available for improved properties, processing and throughput. NYCO’s plants in Essex County, New York and Hermosillo Mexico are ISO 9001/14001 Certified. |
