DuPont Performance Elastomers opens new subsidiary in China

16 November 2006

DuPont Performance Elastomers (DPE) has established a new Chinese business entity. DPE claims that the setting up of DuPont Performance Elastomers Trading (Shanghai) Co. Ltd shows its commitment to supporting customers in the Chinese market.

DPE created a research and development facility in Shanghai in 2005, which has compounding, processing and property testing facilities as well as equipment for running trials and simulating conditions of use.

“China is a growing market for DPE’s high performance elastomers and sealing solutions,” said Francine C. Shaw, DPE president and CEO. “Establishing the Chinese business entity and investment in the new R&D Centre are demonstrations of our commitment to help customers grow in the region.”
