CPVC compounds in hot water
July 2006
PolyOne Corporation has introduced its new chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) moulding and extrusion compounds. PolyOne says that its Geon® CPVC moulding and extrusion compounds offer customers several benefits, including higher heat distortion temperatures (90-102°C), flame retardancy, chemical resistance and low smoke generation. The compounds are available for both transparent and opaque applications.
The company says that the CPVC compounds are ideal for hot water applications. Other end-use applications include pool and spa, window components, custom profile extrusions, and electrical components.
