INEOS makes changes in Italy

INEOS Compounds, manufacturer of polyvinyl chloride compounds, has successfully installed new technology and equipment at its headquarters in Argenta, Italy. The changes will increase capacity, product quality and flexibility at the facility and complete the first phase of the company’s investment programme.

As a result of the expansion, the company closed its compounding production unit in Porto Marghera, Italy, at the end of 2006. It hopes to re-employ the 20 staff from the unit at one of its other production sites.

“The successful commissioning of the new Argenta equipment marks a major step forward for INEOS Compounds,” comments Renato Cipollini, general manager and business director of INEOS Compounds. “Supply to our customers will improve from the changes being made and we look forward to continuing the introduction of the new technology across our business.”
