GLS Corp introduces easy flowing TPE

GLS Corp has launched a new easy flowing thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), the VERSAFLEX® 9500 Series. Its moulding and product end-use benefits are said to include superior surface aesthetics, exceptional colourability and excellent flow for long, thin flow parts.

Applications include long/thin or detailed part geometries such as hand and power tools, lawn and garden products, kitchen utensils, office products and sports and leisure equipment.

According to GLS Corp, the TPE gives a smooth, matte finish with minimal surface flaws, offers isotropic shrinkage to reduce warpage, does not require drying and has been formulated to have a wide processing window. Its excellent colourability also means less colour concentrate is needed to achieve white or pastel colours.

The VERSAFLEX 9500 Series comes in pellet form either in natural or black and is available in Shore A hardness grades of 45, 55 and 70.
