Collaboration extends carbon nanotube distribution

Carbon nanotube producer Nanocyl and the marketing and sales company Velox have extended their cooperation on epoxy and water based dispersions. The companies have been collaborating since the beginning of 2007. The initial scope of this cooperation is the marketing and distribution of the NC7000 Carbon Nanotube (CNT) powder and PlastiCyl™ masterbatches based on PA6, PA6.6, PA12, PC, PBT, PP and other thermoplastic on demand. The companies add that good properties have also been obtained in TPU/CNT compounds, showing good conductivity combined with significantly enhanced mechanical properties and processability, fulfilling a long-time need sought by TPU processors and end-users.

Established in 2002 Nanocyl has headquarters in Belgium with a branch in the US. The company has a production capacity of more than 40 tons/year and Nanocyl products are used in the automotive and electronic industries. Nanocyl says it plans to invest in additional compounding facilities in 2009 at its Belgian site. Velox GmbH is a European leader in the marketing and supply of specialist raw materials for the plastics and other industries. Established in 1993, the company is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany and currently has 16 offices throughout the European Union countries, as well as in Russia and Turkey.
