Eliokem increases Chinese capacity

Eliokem is increasing the capacity of its Wingstay L antioxidant plant in Ningbo, China by 20%. The expansion is expected to be completed by June 2008 and the decision is due to rapidly increasing demand in Asia. Specifically designed for the production of Wingstay L, the plant was built in 2004 to support growth demand of the molecule and strengthen the Eliokem’s position in the market.

The company adds that regular investment has been made to ensure stringent rules on quality management and the environment were followed, with the plant receiving both ISO 9001-2000 and ISO 14001 certifications only a few months after its start up in November 2004. The quality level of Ningbo production is considered the best currently available worldwide, providing low levels of residuals and a very light colour. Wingstay L produced in Ningbo is available in the various physical forms required by the industry. It is used for the stabilization of high-value natural and synthetic polymers based on isoprene and butadiene like ABS.
