Ferro restructures plastics business

Ferro Corporation’s Organic Specialties Group has restructured its plastics business and combined several sub-business units into the Engineered Polymer Products (EPP) unit. The company says that the new EPP unit was formed to better serve customers through a broader product line, manufacturing synergies, simplified sales contacts, and reduced costs. Ferro adds that it has consolidated its sales groups, standardized procedures, and formed multi-functional business teams to offer our customers a broad basket of products through a single point of contact.

Ferro EPP will offer mineral- and glass-filled compounds, colour concentrates, and thermoplastic polyethylene (TPE) products. EPP serves a broad range of industries, including large and small appliances, automotive parts, commercial truck, power sports vehicles, housewares, floorcare, liquid handling, medical equipment, food packaging, disposable utensils, synthetic cork, lawn and garden, power hand tools, sports and recreation, wire and cable, and computer peripherals. Its products are available from plants in the United States, Mexico, Venezuela, Spain, and The Netherlands.
