Techmer PM acquires Accel Color

Techmer PM has acquired Accel Corporation in a merger transaction that will expand Techmer PM’s manufacturing capabilities in the USA and increase its product and service offering. The deal makes Accel Corporation a wholly owned subsidiary of Techmer PM. Accel operates under the Accel Color brand name and has facilities in Avon, Ohio; Naperville, Illinois; Ontario, California; and Knoxville, Tennessee. Accel’s key management team will remain with the company.

The company adds that Accel has expertise in developing and manufacturing small orders of custom colour concentrates, and complements Techmer PM’s manufacturing and service offering. According to Accel, a national presence is more and more important in the North American colorants industry, which has experienced dramatic consolidation among the customer base during the past decade. Accel says that by joining a company like Techmer allows it to give its customers national as well as global support along with a much broader product offering. The new facilities and capabilities will complement Techmer PM's four US production operations in Clinton, Tennessee; Wichita, Kansas; Dalton, Georgia; and Rancho Dominguez, California.
