RTP Company introduces thermoplastic elastomer division

23 November 2006

RTP Company, speciality thermoplastic compounder, has launched a new thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) division. The launch is marked with an investment in TPE testing and manufacturing equipment, an expanded TPE product offering and the establishment of a new research laboratory, which will have TPE dedicated lines.

Additional TPE products include: a conductive TPE grade (ESD-C2800 B) for conductive rubber replacement; a line of complementary TPE and rigid substrate combinations for optimal bondability which can be used for moulded-in seals, gaskets and grips; and clear grades of TPEs for special effect colouring and transparent parts.

“With our new TPE division, our focus is to establish RTP Company as the one-stop supplier of both rigid and TPE solutions,” says Scott Mumm, general manager of the new TPE division.

Paul Killian and Richard Rabe have also been appointed to the TPE division as elastomer technical marketing manager and elastomer technical manager respectively.
