New extrusion technology allows higher additive concentrations
9 March 2006
Addcomp Holland BV has developed a new proprietary extrusion technology allowing very high additive concentrations in a polymer carrier. Consequently the company says that it is now able to offer extruded additive systems with 70-90% loading levels in a polymer carrier. Also high levels of liquid additives can be incorporated in a wide range of carriers.
The company adds that another development is a new solution to
eliminate lumping problems during storage for masterbatches containing
migrating additives (for example, antistatic agents and antifogging
systems). Now occasional dosing problems can be overcome and the
shelf life of these products, even in hot climate conditions, will
improve remarkably.
