US machinery manufacturer restructures

Davis-Standard LLC is restructuring its business into two operating units - Converting Systems and Extrusion Systems. The company says that the move will enable each business to focus on the core technologies and resources of each to strengthen manufacturing efficiencies, customer service, product value and equipment availability worldwide.

The Converting Systems Group includes cast film, blown film, pelletizing, liquid coating, blow moulding, extrusion coating and winding applications. The Extrusion Systems Group includes fibre, sheet, elastomer, laboratory and speciality systems, wire and cable, pipe, profile/tubing, compounding, recycle and reclaim processes.
