ExxonMobil Chemical builds new facility

ExxonMobil has started work on a new facility at its existing complex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. The plant will manufacture a wide range of commercial compounded products such as ExxonMobil Chemical’s Performance Polyolefin grades (compounded polypropylene) and Santoprene™ thermoplastic elastomers.

Output from the plant is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2007. The facility will also incorporate a centre for the development of new products.
