Sudarshan increases European presence

Indian pigment manufacturer Sudarshan has opened an office in the Netherlands, Sudarshan Europe BV, to service the European market. The company says that it will offer its colour and pearlescent pigments along with experienced local customer service.

Sudarshan has been active in Europe for over 20 years, selling through an established network of agents and distributors. However, a successful expansion into markets such as the Middle East and Latin America has prompted the company to look towards Europe. Based in Amsterdam, the company is servicing key accounts directly from an integrated warehouse in Rotterdam. Sudarshan adds that it is currently preparing to comply with the REACH regulations as an importer to the European Union and is evaluating its pigments and pigment dispersions in collaboration with consultants Caleb Management Services. The company intends to register all its products under Sudarshan Europe BV and will be able to provide REACH compliant products and material data sheets from 2010.
