Blender offers automatic cleaning

TSM Control Systems has introduced the TSM3000 Gravimetric Batch Blender. The 12 component blender has a throughput of 3000 kg/hr and has features that include automatic cleaning, material by-pass and automatic order change. The Auto-Cleaning function cleans all the pellets from the entire mixing chamber using a 3-step process and makes it possible to change from colour to colour in seconds without any cross contamination, says the company.

The material by-pass valve provides a continuous feed of virgin material to the main machine process. When this is combined with automatic cleaning, TSM Control Systems says that the system can provide rapid changeover times and no stoppages. Other features of this blender include a positive displacement reverse feed auger screw with cramming action, batch to batch consistency of 0.02% and homogenous mixing.
