Spectrophotometer for full range of colour perception

HunterLab, a colour measurement equipment manufacturer, has introduced a new high-performance colour measurement spectrophotometer that is said to measure the full range of human colour perception in seconds. Typical applications for the UltraScan VIS are for inspecting raw materials, evaluating finished product or developing methods colour analysis, in production or in the laboratory.

The spectrophotometer monitors both reflected and transmitted colour as well as transmission haze. It also meets International Commission on Illumination (CIE) and ASTM International guidelines for accurate colour measurement. Spectral data is reported every 10 nm and tristimulus colour calculations are performed from 360 to 780 nm as advised by the CIE. UltraScan VIS uses diffuse/8° geometry with automated gloss component inclusion/exclusion. It features two sizes of sample measurement areas of 19 mm (0.75 inch) and 6.3 mm (0.25 inch), and incorporates EasyMatch® QC software.
