Zeppelin concludes UK acquisition

Zeppelin Silos & Systems GmbH, based in Friedrichshafen, Germany has acquired Chronos Richardson’s Materials Processing Systems [MPS] division located in Nottingham, United Kingdom and has established a new subsidiary in Nottingham, Zeppelin Systems Ltd.

According to Zeppelin, because it is a leading supplier of installations for the plastics production and processing industry and Chronos is a leader in bulk handling control systems, the complementary skills of both organizations will benefit each other. The company says that the consolidated product range will enable optimum system solutions to be provided worldwide. Zeppelin adds that it operates a major test centre for the handling of bulk solids, which includes two purpose built research plants (one for pellets and one powder) in Friedrichshafen.
